There is an old four wheeler that our Dad, Stan Ward, has specifically assigned to the somewhat younger 4 wheeler riders! Once Preston started driving it, we could see why! It is sooo smoky! It leaves a good smoky trail wherever it goes, so you can find the rider from anywhere on the farm and see how fast they are going in an instant. Now, don't get us wrong, our Preston is a good driver, a little reckless at times, and drives faster than he probably should, but good none the less...but this 4 wheeler was perfect for him. He was a little put out that had to drive it, because it didn't have the power and speed of some of the others...but Mom and Dad were grateful that his power was somewhat limited! Oh, that Stan is wise!
During his many 4 wheeler outings around the farm, Preston found a little hill that he liked to call the roller coaster. He could drive the four wheeler up and down it all day long. He was constantly asking Laura to drive with him so he could ride on of the more powerful four wheelers! One day in particular he was intent on riding...it was wet, cold and raining day...but that didn't stop him. He was convinced....and he was able to convince his little cousin Kage (aka..partner in crime) and Laura to bundle up, brave the rain and go ride some 4 wheelers! Laura wasn't too excited about the venture, but as soon as the three of them were laughing, splashing through mud, spluttering the mud WAY up in the air, going up and down the "roller coaster" she had to admit, hey...this is really fun!! They got back to the house soaked, muddy and with HUGE smiles on their faces! Thanks Preston for getting us outside and having a much needed crazy adventure!
