Magna Man

The "kids" are very proud of magna man - Made out of Magnatiles!

2 weeks and growing

Detric is already 2 weeks old!  And almost ready to welcome in the new year!  He is such a good little man...as long as mom doesn't each chocolate!  If the number of dirty diapers is any sign of how much he is growing....He is definitley growing exponentially!  I know new babies go through a lot of diapers, but this man goes through diapers!  Wow.  He is so alert and loves to watch all the action in our not so quiet house!  There is always someone to watch running past, someone to kiss you, someone to wake you up from your quiet slumber, someone to yell or squeal with delight that startles you...yep - being the 4th - Detric is definitely learning to sleep among the noise!

First Fire

We put Clay's new fire pit to good use!  We made dinner in the backyard...and the kids loved it!  Hot dogs and chips...yum yum!  We didn't have any marshmallows...next time!

Ward Family 2012

Merry Christmas from the kids!

First Ride

It's Christmas Day Afternoon - and it didn't take long for the boys to get dressed today!  They were ready to ride!  But first, Clay gave the boys their motorcycle safety brief...yes..he really did!  The boys learned all about their motorcycles - how they work, how to take care of them, to do a walk around before riding, safety equipment (helmet, pads, etc.) needed for riding, watching out for others and HOW TO BRAKE!  The boys LOVE their new motorcycles and spend LOTS of time outside seeing how many bumps and bruises they can get in one day and having a ball doing it!  Aparri and Detric are good cheerleaders!  Occassionaly, Aparri will get on her bike and ride around with the boys too!

Merry Christmas 2012

Christmas Morning!  We all met in Mom and Dad's room until everyone was awake and ready.... then the mad dash to the family room to see if Santa came! And he did! We started with the stockings and Santa presents, then our traditional Christmas Morning Cinnamon Roll breakfast, and then the presents.  The last thing to be opened was a special note from Santa to Preston and CJ saying that one of their gifts was not by their stockings because it wouldn't fit in the door and also Mom and Dad don't like tire tracks on the carpet!  The boys ran to the garage, and what to their wondering eyes should appear.... 2 motorcycles ready to ride!  Oh...boy were they excited!

Santa brought Aparri , Ariel and all her sisters figurines....and she has been loving them ever since!

Sporting our New PJs

Clay was in charge of picking out the Christmas PJs this year and he did a great job!  The girls received bright pink PJs and the boys Star Wars/ Blue Pjs.  Comfy, comfy!

Christmas Eve Nativity

As tradition holds..we did our live Nativity on Christmas Eve.  Our Nativity was small and the actors scarce...but it was great nonetheless!  Some people had to double or triple in on parts!  So as the cast we had:  Clay - Narrator, Joseph and Shepherds; Laura - Mary; Detric - Baby Jesus; CJ - Inn Keeper and Wiseman; Preston - Donkey; Aparri - Angel.
Our Little Baby Jesus wrapped in "Swaddling Clothes" - played by Detric.
Our Sturdy Donkey played by Preston.
The Inn Keeper played by CJ
The Beautiful Angel played by Aparri

Sayin' Goodbye to our crazy Elf!

On Christmas Eve, the kids got a special letter from Buddy! He was hanging from the ceiling fan, and left a note and picture of him and Santa Claus. CJ had asked Buddy for a picture weeks ago and Buddy came through! He is such a good elf. We love you Buddy...see you next year!
