Dad...this one's for you!

We often hear that Laura's Dad was quite the motorcyclist when he was young...going here there and everywhere doing crazy things on his motorbike. Well, we think Preston has a little of that motorcycle blood running through his veins. He LOVES his motorcycle. He even drives it to the pool. When Laura saw the bare chest, swim suit, boots, helmet, and motorcycle with Preston...she couldn't resist a picture! All of Preston's loves in one - never a moment without his bike!

Our Mad Skills

When you go to the pool everyday, you start thinking up new things to keep you entertained while you are cooling in the blue...and this year, each of us want to share with you our mad skills.  Clay developed the skill of balancing every member of our family (minus Aparri...she wouldn't do it) and almost every other kid in the pool (ok, not every kid, but LOTS!) on his shoulders.  Laura attempted to walk on the water after being challenged by some boys, CJ has perfected the cannon ball (especially when he can get a bunch of unsuspecting swimmers or sunbathers wet!), Preston has developed a new kind of snorkel from a swim torpedo (he will swim for hours with a torpedo in his mouth acting as his "breathing tube,"  Aparri can make all her babies sing, dance and swim around the whole pool with confidence (as long as she has her water wings on... Mom had to rescue her from the deep end when her little head was bobbing up and down when she slipped of the stairs without her wings...whew...close call) and Detric just smiles away as he tries to drink the pool if we let his mouth get to close to the surface of the water!

The ONE word summer

When you live in Vegas there is only one word that you need to know in the summer and that word is POOL!   When it gets up to 120 in June (yep, it did people...no lying!) there is only one thing to do..be in water and cool down! That is exactly what the Ward family has done for a lot of the summer days!  Detric has taken well to his first experiences in the big blue pool and we think he rather likes it.  We are pretty sure we will all be part fish by the time school starts again!
