Ward Family Easter 2014

Easter Kids 2014

Oh Mom....MORE pictures???

Laura thinks this picture is hilarious....it pretty much shows exactly what everyone was thinking.....

                       "Oh, Mom....MORE PICTURES??"

Yes, children...a few more!  You'll thank me later!

Our Easter Bunny

Aparri loved her Easter Bunny Ears soooo much, she wouldn't take them off..she even wanted to sleep in them.  She thought it was a great idea, until right behind her ears were sore the next morning...yeah, it isn't a very good idea to wear a headband to bed....but she sure looked cute doing it!  The Easter Bunny was good to us this year - the kids got new swimsuits, underwear and 2 movies!  Plus 80 eggs hidden around the house stuffed with Canterbury milk chocolate eggs and starburst jellybeans!  Detric found one egg - popped it open.  When he realized it had chocolate inside, the hunt was over for him...he just started stuffing chocolate eggs in his mouth as fast as he could!  CJ and Preston were our expert egg hunters...they were sooo fast!  But, pretty equally matched!  In the end, I believe that all got the same amount of eggs, give or take 1.... and that was just pure luck!

Extra Hunts & THE Bunny

There were several potential hunts that we could have participated in, but we decided 2 extras were plenty.  We attended the church primary egg hunt and Clay's squadron Easter Party (yeah, we were tempted to go to the base wide hunt, but usually a kid or two gets trampled and some parents can get a little crazy (yeah you know the kind! - so we decided to skip that one this year!)  The kids were excited to see and dance with the Easter Bunny, decorate egg cookies, make thumb print Easter cards, and of course hunt for Eggs!

All of the Easter Cards are hanging on the fridge, except Aparri's (the pink one...) she wanted the Easter Bunny to have it, so she left it out for him on Easter Eve!

Museum and OG

To Celebrate his birthday, Preston requested a trip to Lubbock with a friend.  On the agenda was  the children's museum and Olive Garden!  So, that is what we did!  On Saturday morning we picked up Aiden (Preston's friend) and we all headed off to Lubbock.  We had a great time playing, discovering and being silly. Since it was close to Easter, they had bunnies and chicks to welcome us!  When our bellies were grumbling louder than we could stand, we went and got settled at Olive Garden where we ate TOOO many breadsticks, Alfredo sauce and salad!  It was a great celebration for everyone.  Thanks Preston for planning a fun family day together!  Happy Birthday our big 7 year old, we love you!
