Laura's mom is an ordinance worker in the Portland LDS temple. Laura decided to wake up early, get a babysitter and go to the temple while her mother was working. It was such a neat experience. Laura was able to do initiatory while her mom was officiating the ordinance. Laura was so proud of her mom! She was able to continue doing the work through the tears they were both shedding. The temple is a spiritual, sweet escape from the world, where we are able to feel connected with our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. Being inside doing the work with your mother officiating - made it so much more special. It is an experience I would definitely recommend! I think Laura and Nancy will remember that day for a long time.
It's always a wonderful experience coming back to the Portland temple. This is where Clay and Laura were married 12 years ago! Laura took a minute to enjoy the beauty of the temple, grounds and the morning before she headed back home to the kiddos.
How wonderful! You'll have to ask your mom if she knows my second cousin Becky Wismer. She's an employee there. Glad you are having such a great time! We are waving hi from Lacey :-)
