Grand-Dad
John Russell is currently living with Stan and Amy. So we got to spend quite a
bit of time with him during our current stay in Idaho! The boys would
read books to him, Aparri would tell him stories, and Detric would play peek a
boo with him behind his chair. He is getting older and struggling with
some dementia, but whether he knew who these crazy people were that gave
him hugs, made him laugh, or frustrated him because the kids would change
the channel on the tv to the Disney....we loved him the same.
Gran is
always a hoot to visit! She made us laugh so much! We always
bring a treat with us when we visit...the kids love it and so does
Gran!! Detric was her best friend because she kept feeding him
cookies! We also brought our 2013 family book to show her some
pictures. As if visiting Gran wasn't enough of an adventure, on the way
out...a child who shall remain anonymous, set off the alarm to the
whole assistant living section of the building! In his defense...if
he hadn't been walking 5 feet in front of Laura, she would have done the
same thing! So...all we could do was laugh about it all the way
home. Always an adventure!
We
are sure glad we are part of these 2 amazing people's legacy!
