Cannon AFB Airshow

Air Show, Air Show... Did someone say Airshow?  We are there!  We love airshows!  This year we went to the Airshow with our good friends the Hickmans.  They had never been to an airshow before, so it was fun to show them the planes, see their excitement with the Thunderbirds, and enjoy their fun company!  We got to revisit our old friend...the KC-135!  The boys enjoyed laying in the boom operators spot and then heading up front to the controls and take over the aircraft!  We also got to see Clay's current plane up close!  The MQ-9 Reaper.  It is always a treat to watch the Thunderbirds Fly...took us back memory lane to Vegas where they were constantly flying over our home practicing their maneuvers...doesn't matter how many times you see it, it never gets old!  We were able to enjoy the show with the Hickman and Cardon family.  Two wonderful families we have become friends with since moving to Clovis!   The weather was disastrous (well...heavy rain - which is a blessing for the area - we need the rain!  But disastrous for the airshow) in the morning...we all thought that the airshow would have to be cancelled completely, but the rain let up and they just delayed the schedule 2 hours, and the day was warm, sunny and beautiful all afternoon!  Perfect day for the airshow!  Preston our artist...made an airplane all out of white printer paper...it actually flew pretty good in the backyard too.  That kid has an amazing ability to envision something and then make it happen.  All the detail he notices and then implements into his projects are amazing.
