On the road trip to Cannon, the boys all saw signs for a meteor site and wanted to stop. However, it was pouring cats and dogs, so we decided it probably wasn't the ideal time to go and see it. We promised that we would try and stop on the way home. Well, luckily the weather was much better on the way back through, so we took a gander off the road and took a look at the meteor site! It was pretty impressive. They took us on a tour outside where we were able to stand on the edge. On the bottom of the crater, they have a cardboard cut out of a life size man...to help you get an idea for the size of this hole (you pretty much can't hardly see him unless you are looking through the telescope! It's amazing the damage that a piece of rock can do! Wow.
