Not that he will necessarily remember his first trip to Dietrich, but we thought it only appropriate to take a picture of Detric with the town sign.... the city of his name. For those of you who don't know, Dietrich, Idaho is a small farming community in south central Idaho, where Clay had the privilege to grow up. Clay loves the town of Dietrich. After years of hearing how much her husband loves the town, and discussing it with some of her friends...one lady, (Erika Oschner) happened to say..."That would make a cute boy's name" Waalaa... Laura was instantly hooked and knew that she had to have another boy, just so she could use the name Dietrich! So when we found out we were having Boy #3, there was no question in Laura's mind what the name would be! Clay had no problem with it either! So, Detric was the name of choice. It was more of a struggle trying to decide on the spelling...do we keep the original spelling and have him be Diet Rich, forever? or change it? As you can see we decided on a more phonetic spelling, but the namesake is still the small town in Idaho that not very many people know about, unless you happen to be blessed enough to love it and live there.
