Free Ticket to Childrens Museum

When we heard that there was a new Children's Museum at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, UT AND we got in FREE, we said, WE ARE GOING!  (Since we have a annual pass to our children's museum in Lubbock, TX - it works for several children's museums nation wide...what a great deal!)  Becky, Brayden, and Nana all went with us to explore the museum.  It was HUGE!  3 Stories high, obstacle courses, ropes courses, jungle gyms, airplanes, science centers, weather room, water area, sounds and lights, outdoor fun, and so much more!

Preston was just fine being high above the floor as long as he was safely behind the wheel of the airplane - as soon as we had to cross the ropes bridge, that was a different story.  Preston was a little nervous!  However, Laura reassured him that if the bridge can hold her up, then it would definitely hold him. After some encouragement, coaxing, and walking side by side - they finally made it across the bridge.  Whew....

Laura loves the tangled belt column that is pretty much a bunch of elastic belts zigzagged across each other and in different layers...then you have to maneuver your body down and you feel like you are getting sucked through and occasionally get stuck (but hey that is part of the fun, right?  Well, for some people...Aparri was in tears by the bottom and never wanted to do that again!)

CJ enjoyed anything that he could put together and build or push a button and make it do something.

Detric sure enjoyed the water...maybe a little too much.  There was a little table where the toddlers can sit and play in the water and their feet dangle...it was too cute looking under the table and seeing all these tiny legs.  Detric however, liked it a little too much.  After several attempts to get him to stop splashing the other kids, we eventually just had to remove him from the water table all together....too dangerous!

They were all blown away by the tornado room!

After 3 hours of fun, exploration, and entertainment, we were pooped, hungry and ready to go... ok, let me rephrase that, the ADULTS were pooped, hungry and ready to go!  I think the kids could have stayed there forever!  We were able to get the kids out the door with the promise of Subway for lunch - the adults however said, "Café Rio here we come!"
