When we heard that our good friends, Scott and Megan Thorup, just PCS'd to Abilene, which is only 4 hours away from Clovis....we got terribly excited! We haven't seen them in 6 + years. We met the Thorups when we were stationed at Vance AFB, in Enid, OK. during pilot training. We had both moved to Enid at the same time and became instant friends. Clay and Scott were terribly busy with training, which allowed LOTS of time for Laura and Megan to hang out, which they did! So, when we found out they were relatively close, we invited them to Clovis for Thanksgiving! It is always a pleasure to get to see old friends again! AND BOY WAS IT! It was such a treat! We got to meet their 2 wonderful kids Bubba and Lizzy...who got along perfectly with our bunch! With some friendships, even though time has passed...you can pick up right where you left off...it was so much fun being with Megan and Scott again! We can't wait for our next get-to-gether. We have to take advantage of being so close!
