A Public Bath

Everyone was so excited and fascinated at the idea of giving Erica her first bath - no one wanted to miss it!  So, the poor little lady had zero privacy with 8 pairs of eyes watching her dip into the warm waters.  Erica didn't seem to mind all the viewers.  She loved every minute of her bath AND the afterbath.  With Erica being our 5th child, we have gotten a little smarter over the years..or atleast we like to think we have mastered and learned a few things along the way.  The bath is one I think we finally have figured out - usually the kids all love the bath - enjoying the warm water, the freedom, the relaxation that it brings...but then comes the unwelcomed COLD exit and then the screaming fit begins when their little wet bodies hit the cold air.  However...not this time, we planned ahead and had a space heater turned on and facing the awaiting exit path and towel where Erica would be placed immediately following her bath and...waalaa...NO CRYING!  Imagine that!  She loved every minute of her bath AND her lotion massage AND getting dried off.  No crying involved in this kid's first bath...That is a first people!  After 5 kids, we HAVE finally learned something.
