What are you going to be?

Halloween Costume Preparations started early for us here at the Ward house!  For weeks, Preston and Aparri have been working on their costumes.  Preston worked on his Captain Rex (from Star Wars) costume and Aparri on Rosetta (from Tinkerbell).  Preston knew every detail of Cpt. Rex's outfit and made sure that he had it right.  Laura and Preston even sewed some extra details to get everything just right.  When it was complete, he kept it under his bed in his special box for safe keeping so none of the pieces would get lost...this was serious business.  Aparri had the Rosetta dress, but needed wings, so we found the wings and she was set.  Not much needed there, but she knew who and what she was going to be for Halloween.  As far as CJ....he had no clue.  Everyday it was something different.  He just couldn't pin point something down...ninja, spy, Darth Vador, etc.  On it went until the day before Halloween and still nothing.  Well, CJ finally settled on a doctor, and what a fine doctor he was.  However, to our great surprise...last minute both Preston and Aparri ditched their long thought out and planned costumes for something entirely different that they grabbed out of the dress up box. Laura was dumb founded, especially by Preston who had this planned for weeks and spoke of little else!  But, he refused to wear it...hmm.  Laura was disappointed, but I guess as long as the kids are happy, does it really matter? This is why we don't go to great lengths, do anything too elaborate or expensive as costumes for our children....last minute they are bound to change their minds and want to wear something different .....well, I guess Laura isn't much better, she is the one who dressed Detric...and he wore a different costume to 3 different events too!  I guess we know where they get it from!  Well,  THANK GOODNESS FOR A DRESS UP BOX!
