When your birthday is on a Saturday and we have to be in Lubbock for a special conference....we have to do things a little differently! No breakfast in bed this year...but Clay did get 2 cakes! 1 angel food cake with pink frosting (by request...) but Laura knew Clay really wanted a chocolate pudding dessert...he was just being really nice and chosing a non-chocolate dessert so Laura would eat some! So...Clay got both! We were able to spend Clay's birthday in Lubbock listening and meeting, Elder Rasband, a member of the quorum of the 12 apostles. Every member of our family got to shake his hand! Pretty neat!
Yep...a propane torch to light the birthday cake candles...when Laura gave Clay "the look" that says "really??" Clay quickly said "this is how REAL men light the candles on their cake!" Oh boy!
Clay is a good sport. For his birthday present...Aparri and Detric decorated him and made him a beautiful Christmas Tree! Happy Birthday Clayboy you look beautiful! Notice..the star, the lights, and the ornaments!! LOVE IT!
