All Day Thursday was BEACH DAY!!! We got a premo spot right on the beach...and I mean literally ON THE BEACH - we drove the car on the sand, right to the designated stop. It was fantastic...no hauling all our beach stuff across hot sand, over hills, etc. We just drove, parked, and walked out!! Now that is the way to do it! Only down fall....it was extremely windy, so by the time we made it back to our hotel - not only were we coated with salt water and sand...so was the minivan....sacrifices! The Loveless family again had the same plans as us - so we shared a beach spot and hung out at the beach! Again, everyone was HAPPY, HAPPY! Buddies to play with! We all took turns boogie boarding (even the Moms and Dads!!!). Then, we dug holes, made castles, cooled off in the "warm" water (we couldn't believe how warm the water was...it wasn't a shock to the system to get in at all!), and Erica slept through a few hours of our playtime, which was a blessing since it was sooo windy! But when she did wake up she also enjoyed dipping her toes in the water! All the kids were little fish, jumping waves - There is nothing like a day at the beach! We had some nice burned backs to prove it!
