Swim lessons are a summer must in the Ward house. The older boys put up a fight- saying they already knew how to swim, so why do we have to take lessons! But, Mom insisted that they still need to practice and can always improve. Luckily, as soon as they started - the complaining stopped and they enjoyed them. Aparri on the other hand - was super excited for her first official swim lessons! All 3 kids did amazing in their classes! They all progressed and made significate improvements. Aparri got that little bit of confidence she needed to remove herself from the wall, go off the diving board and slide without a life jacket!!! Preston is a strong swimmer, and is working hard at polishing his stokes. CJ was at the first of the class in all they did - so I think this was his last year in lessons - he is pretty comfortable and confident with the skills in the water. Good job kiddos!! (We tried to sign Detric up too, but he screamed the whole time during his first 2 lessons - which is crazy because he loves the baby pool, big pool, and bath tub...he just wasn't jiving the lessons??? So rather than upset him, we decided to wait another year and we will keep him happy and content in the baby pool for now!
