Garden Slaves

Clay and Laura decided they wanted to beautify the front of the house and give it some color with some flowers.  They worked hard, compromised, and as a team they decided how to design the flower bed and what to plant.  4 stores, 2 days, and lots of sweat and hard work (Clay spent hours putting in the edging...having to dig up roots from our gigantic tree that had over grown toward the house...then Laura made the kids help plant the flowers in the flower bed and the pots.  Some of the kids thought it was great fun playing with the dirt, planting flowers...others thought it was torture and child slavery - oh... they were so overworked NOT (sheesh)  After the "slaves" finished their work, we all stood back and looked at the finished product....tadaaa.  We love it!  Less mud and beautiful flowers- great combo!  It's amazing the power of flowers....Laura says they always bring a smile to her face when she walks outside and sees all the beautiful blooms.  Love it!  Welcome spring.
