On the same day as Cub Scout day camp, there was also a military exclusive egg hunt at Lake Las Vegas. Clay went with CJ to the Scout day camp and Laura took Preston, Aparri, and Detric to hunt Eggs. Lake Las Vegas is a beautiful area...just really windy on the day of the hunt! The kids had a lot of fun petting a pony, visiting and petting the rabbits. Aparri got her face painted and made a crown. The kids even got to meet the Easter Bunny! Detric had his first egg hunt...had no clue what was going on, but we all had fun "helping him" find the eggs! Aparri and Preston did great in their egg hunts too - we came home with lots of goodies! We met up with our friends the Maurices and had fun hanging out with them for a little while until everyone got hungry and tired!
The boys had fun at day camp where they participated in an egg drop (CJ's survived!), shooting guns, shooting bows and arrows, running obstacle courses, learning songs, and having fun! Some day boys will learn the use of sunscreen...but not today - Clay's forhead was FRIED...wow. But, fried or not - they both had a good time at scout day camp.
