While we were in San Diego we stayed on Coronado Island at the Naval Air Station. It had a gorgeous hotel that was right along the beach. However, their larger rooms were all occupied - so we got a nice classic hotel room, but with a family of 6 ... any standard hotel room feels like... (in Clay's own words)..a squirrel cage! So, we just decided it was best for everyone's sanity to spend as little time as possible inside the hotel room. So, we kept busy seeing all there was to see! Even though we tried hard to keep the kids out of the room..we still managed to have adventures in the room! One being the case of Laura's missing earring! Laura couldn't find one of her earrings and she was getting really frustrated because she liked those earrings! Well, she decided that she better ask the kids if they knew anything about the missing earring. When asked, Preston pipes up and says "Yes" and proceeds to run to the door and point to the peep hole .. low and behold, there was the missing earring! When we asked why he put the earring in there, he said, "I put it in there so people couldn't look in our room." Well, I am sure glad that we were safe and Preston was looking out for us! No one is peeking in our room tonight! I am also glad that he remembered where he put it - we NEVER would have found that one!
