We spent 4 wonderful days up at Redfish Lake...ok maybe not 4 wonderful days, but more like 3 wonderful days and 1 less than desirable day that made us REALLY appreciate the other days!....The first day = worst day! There was no vacancy at the camp area we usually stay at, so we spent hours hunting for a new location...it clouded up and then poured down rain, and if you have ever camped when it is raining, you know it is not very pleasant...and add 16 kids into that mix that are now stuck in tents or in the camper where everyone is on top of each other and drenched, cold and now muddy...yeah, we all prayed hard that night for nicer weather...we weren't picky...if we couldn't have sunshine everyday, would even settle for NO rain! Well, the Lord heard our desperate prayers! We had gorgeous weather every day after that, it did cloud up and look like it was going to storm every evening, but it never rained on us again. It got all the surrounding areas, but not where we were. We were truly grateful! (I am sad that I didn't get any pictures of the craziness in the rain, but we were drenched, with no coats, kids crying, adults stressed, stuff everywhere, etc. in those moments, pictures weren't an option! But, kudos to Leslie and Trevor who cooked a fabulous dutch oven dinner for us regardless of the rain...now that is dedication! Thanks guys.)
