Janie and Laura took the kiddos on a morning walk-a-bout. Our nice little walk turned into something a bit more when we came to the edge of a trail by the roadside and the kids wanted to see where it went. So...we parked the strollers on the road, and headed down. We found a beautiful little shore line that was right next to the water. It was a wonderful little spot, but Laura had a bad feeling in her gut....she knew that unless we left at that very moment - the moment we arrived- the kids were going to get wet. It is just impossible for Ward kids to be that close to water for very long without getting wet! Sure enough...it started with throwing rocks, then wading in to our ankles, and before we knew it... the kids were in up to their waist! Of course they were wearing the only pair of pants that we had packed, their only pair of shoes, their only jackets, but oh well...These things will dry, right?
