We piled the 5 kids in the truck with 13 packed bags and off to Albuquerque we went. We told the kids we were just going to Albuquerque for a "preChristmas trip" to see some Christmas lights. We stayed the night in a hotel, but had to wake up the next morning at 4:30am to "see the lights" and to "go the top of a mountain." We got all the kids up and in the car in record time. When we asked the kids if they wanted one of their christmas presents early, they all yelled.."YES!!" We told them to keep their eyes open and look for their present...When we pulled up to the airport terminal, the kids started buzzing with questions...Why are we here...What is going on? Are we going on an airplane??? Laura and Clay looked at each other and said "YES!!! We are going to Idaho and Washington for Christmas!!! SURPRISE!!! Let's go get on an airplane! Let the Ward Family Surprise Christmas Vacation Begin!!"
