Well...our life has been quite a roller coaster lately. First, we found out that Clay was going on a last minute TDY to Washington DC (of course)..isn't it ironic?, leaving in 2 weeks and he will be gone for 4 months. Laura and Clay were devastated. Their anniversary trip to WA DC and New York was cancelled. Clay wouldn't see Idaho or his family this summer. He would miss both family reunions... He would be away from us for a long time. So...we did the only proper thing...cried. Yes, we cried for a good day, hugged each other and then decided to make the best of the situation. Laura decided that she would take the kids and go see family...travel and be with people...perfect antidote for loneliness! So 6 weeks of the summer- was planned. Since Clay was being last minute tasked, they gave Clay 1 week of leave before he left. So...we packed the bags and took off! We went south to Carlsbad Caverns, then East to San Antonio where we hit Sea World, Splash Town, Shopping, yummy food, fun friends, warm weather, LOTS of Bugs, and a wonderful week together! Well, as we headed home from our amazing family trip, preparing ourselves to say goodbye, Clay gets notified that the TDY was cancelled....oh my goodness! What good news! But, we just took a week of leave, cancelled our anniversary trip, made several purchases to get him ready, and made plans for the whole summer...now what? Yeah....let me tell ya...rollercoaster ride of emotions....and it just doesn't seems to stop! Heaven help me.
