Patiently Waiting to EAT....Mater Cake

Detric loves Mater!  He has seen "Mater's Tale Tales" more times that we can count!  So, when it came time to pick a birthday cake theme for Detric - it wasn't too hard!  Detric did really good waiting to eat his cake.  He had a hard time staying out of it the day before his birthday (when we made it) but just would sit at the counter and look at it.  Well, the next day (his birthday) he woke up happy and declaring "It's my birthday, it's my birthday!).... I think he gets it!  He got breakfast in bed (Mom and Dad's bed) and phone time in bed (that is a real treat), then he had to entertain himself while he waited for Tate to come over.  Well, Laura was in one of the bedrooms cleaning up when Detric runs in with frosting on his sleeve and cake on his face and says, " I ATE HIM"  "I ATE HIM"  Laura put 2 and 2 together pretty fast.  As Detric took Laura to the kitchen - there laid Mater....a little defaced!  Detric was so happy, and he had waited so patiently for 24 hours - Laura could hardly be mad!  She busted up laughing.  What can you do?  It is his birthday after all!
