When we were driving around Red River exploring the town, Preston saw these "fun" bikes and insisted that we ride them - claiming it would be great family fun! So, we hopped on one and set off. The man said they rent them out in 30 min. increments but we could stay out as long as we wanted and we would settle our bill when we got back. Thinking ok...I bet 30-45 min will probably be a good amount of time for our family....oh we couldn't have been more wrong! The minute we turned onto the road and started pedaling - Clay and Laura looked at each other and knew they were in trouble...we felt NO help from the back seat pedalers. AFter mer minutes after venturing out, we were exhausted...or should I say Clay and Laura were exhausted. The other kids wanted to keep going...but when Clay and Laura's legs were jello and burning we decided to turn back. The saleman laughed when we saw us back so soon - but confessed he expected us back sooner than planned! Preston was livid that his precious ride only lasted 15 minutes, but he also didn't want to pedal the driving machine either.....so it was a fun short lived experience - but an experience it was!
While riding our 6 man pedal bike, we found some great fishing spots....and since the kids have been dying to do some fishing - we headed back to the truck, gathered our fishing equipment and went to the fishing hole. Detric enjoyed fishing alittle, but mainly was entertained with the ducks and gazebo at the location!
