This years star contestant for the Pinewood Derby is FIRE BLAZER. CJ had the whole car planned out -down to the shape, paint job and name. Fire Blazer wasn't the fastest car on the track, but that's ok - he is exactly what CJ wanted him to be (ok...CJ probably would have been happier if he was faster on the track, but we had a nice talk about that on the way home and about how to be a good sport when things don't go our way. Life lessons are hard to learn sometimes..... but all in all Fire Blazer held up, CJ won a sportsmanship award, and got some licorice for participating. Three Cheers for CJ and Fire Blazer, thanks for a fun night of racing.
