We have had a lot of surprises lately, with Clay's work, and why not have another surprise with church stuff? We were getting ready for church Sunday morning (Nov 13) and Clay gets a call from the stake clerk asking if he can have an interview with a member of the stake presidency before chruch. Sure! When Laura asks Clay, who was on the phone, he said, "Oh..just the stake clerk. They want to meet with me this morning." Laura raised her eyebrows and said, "Oh yeah? You know what that is about?" Clay casually responds..I'm sure they are going to just release me from being a stake clerk. Laura smirks and said..."I don't think so Babe. But, you keep thinking that!" Well, as luck would have it....we met with a member of the stake presidency - and yes, Clay was released as a stake clerk and asked to serve in the Bishopric with Bishop Devin Wahlen and Adam Westenhofer. They sustained him that Sunday...30 minutes after he said yes. Surprise...surprise! Stan and Amy came down the following week for Clay's ordination to become a High Priest (Nov 22). Clay...you'll do great!
