Leading up to the big day, we had great dinner table conversation where - Clay taught and explained the upcoming Eclipse to the kids. Unfortunately, on September 27th, the day of the big event, Clay had to work. However, Clay would take periodic breaks - and sneak peeks of the moon and then call Laura and the kids and tell them when to go outside and look up! Around 8 o'clock, Laura and the kids went down the street and watched the moon, took pictures, and hung out with our friends- The Nielsen Family. Clay continued to catch glimses of the eclipse through the night (as often as the schedule would permit...) It was a pretty neat experience watching the moon as it gradually got covered with the shadow of the earth where it went from a white moon to a red/orange moon. Wow.
