Laura's cousin, Jaclyn, got married on June 28th in the Newport Beach LDS temple. Laura and Nana were able to go to the sealing. Clay and the kids waited for us on the grounds where we congratulated the happy couple! That afternoon, their was a ring ceremony and reception at a VERY nice home of some of their friends. Yes, I think this was a big enough house to be considered a mansion..and the neighborhood was amazing to drive through! The reception was perfect....the weather couldn't have been better - warm, but not hot; Mexican catered dinner, large soft cookies at 7pm, wedding cake, and the epic daddy daughter dance by Jaclyn and Uncle Bill. Now, when Uncle Bill and Aunt Cathy were married (Jaclyn's parents), Bill danced and lip-synced for Cathy to the song Jungle Love. Laura was young at the time of their wedding, but still remembers this dance from long ago - it is legendary! So, when Uncle Bill pulled us aside and said - make sure and stay until 7:30...Jungle Love is making a re-appearance! Jaclyn and Bill did a fun medley of songs and dances! It was the best Daddy Daughter dance I have seen!
If there is a critter to be found, Preston will find it! He made friends with a Holy snail on the temple grounds!
