Barefoot in the Park

We are enjoying our new community here in Liberty Lake.  We live right around the corner from Pavillian Park where all sorts of activities, festivals, community events,  Friday night movies, sports games and practices, skate park, play equipment & sand pit, etc. take place.  We have been to the park to play several times, but Barefoot in the Park was the first "event" we have made it to!  It was HOT, really HOT...but we enjoyed playing on the bounce houses, hitting each other in human "ping pong" or whatever you call hitting each other in the big inflated balls, the petting zoo complete with with bunnies, goats, pigs, kittens, and dogs and then we concluded the sweaty fun afternoon with snow cones (really expensive snow cones... don't think I'll be buying those again.  They didn't even taste that good..what a waste!  I need me some baskin robbins!) and a magic show where Aparri was chosen to help assist in the magic!  What a fun place we have moved to!  In the words of Annie, "I think I'm gonna like it here!"

Centennial Trail

The Centennial Trail is minutes from our house. Since everyone is now on 2 wheels, we decided to venture down to the trail.  We rode to the border,  watched an eagle from the bridge, threw rocks in the water, and dipped our toes in the river.

Our WA house

Perfect day at Silverwood

Before Clay had to leave for Oklahoma, we took some family time and went to Silverwood theme park.  We had a great time!  It's so nice that this theme park and water rides are only 30 minutes from our new house...I think I see season passes in our future.  But, for today - we spent the early part of the day riding rides, then headed over to the beach area where the kids played, rode water slides, and got extremely wet, but when the water area closed we still had a little play left in us so we went back to the ride area for a few more laughs. It was a perfect day...

Airshows never get old

We took a much needed break from boxes and chaos of moving and headed to the airshow.  As we were walking through the front entrance, we ran into The Rudy family, old friends and neighbors from when we lived here before!  What a small world.  It was good to see them.  After we entered the airshow, we enjoyed looking at all the static planes, getting face paint, jumping on the trampoline, climbing blowup slides, riding the bull, and watching the Thunderbirds.  It just never gets old...
