PAC MAN PARTY Cake

 

 Preston requested a very specific type of PacMan for  his cake this year!  Preston has been looking at PacMan pictures for weeks finding the exact one he wanted, and he finally found it!  So, together, Preston and Laura tackled the making of the cake! ( Aparri helped too!!!)  It was a little messy at times, but what fun is making a cake if we don't get a little messy in the process???  Preston loved the finished product!  The perfect PacMan Party Cake!  Whew....mission accomplished!

Here is Preston's 7th birthday breakfast in bed!!!  He requested juice, kiwi with cool whip, and rollos.  Happy Birthday Pres!  We just love this GUY!!  This kid is such a ham!!!  And here is PROOF!!  Check out this kid....oh Preston...  You bring so much spunk and personality to our family!

 

 

Spring BREAK

 

We had lots of fun during the kids' week off of school.  We played, went swimming, got McDonalds, went to the park, saw Frozen in the theater (AGAIN...3rd time! Good thing it is free on base!), went rollerskating, celebrated Preston's birthday, had countertops installed, whew....by the end of the week we needed a break from our break!!!  It is always fun to have the kids home and we enjoyed having them all day!  Clay was also in training, so a few times, he was able to get off early and come play!  What a special treat!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our 1st Renovation .....

We have been married for almost 12 years now and have endured 9 moves, 4 kids, 5 deployments, buying our first house, and now we add endure a renovation to our list!  Yes, folks....the joy of buying a house means we can DO WHATEVER WE WANT TO IT!!!!  So with that freedom, we have put new countertops throughout the house!  The original countertops were tile and after having lived in the house for about 7 months....Laura was DONE cleaning those tiles!!! So...Clay and Laura started the Ward House 2014 Renovation Project:  Granite Countertops!!!  Here are some of the before / after/ during pictures that were taken.  We are still completing the finishing touches...but we have had lots of requests for pictures.....so here ya go!  Feast your eyes!

The Demolition!!!

below: We raised the low bar as well.  Greg (our custom cabinet man...Trujillo's Custom Cabinets) did an amazing job raising up the bar and matching the color!

We had to live and function in a house that had NO kitchen/ NO bathrooms/ NO laundry room  counters or sinks for 10 days!!!  It was a crazy adventure....Laura was a little more than DONE when day 10 arrived!!! After washing our hands in the 1 available bathtub, spitting in the toilet after we brush our teeth, and not being able to rinse anything off - or use a kitchen sink (especially when Laura spilled a jar of strawberry jam all over herself and the floor!  Yeah, let me tell you what a fun mess that was to clean up without a sink!!  HA!).  Laura was more than happy to see the granite guys pull up in front of the house and install! HAPPY DAY!!

Mad about Motorcycles

The weather was gorgeous yesterday!  We took the morning and played tennis (Laura's love) and spent the afternoon riding Motorcycles (Clay's love), luckily our "loves" are rubbing off on our children and they love them too!  Clay had 2 kids on black bart with him, Aparri rode the little green motorcycle, and Laura & Detric were on the red one.  As a family we cruised the neighborhood!  We are officially the Motorcycle Family...here we come!
