S'more Nana

The kids were excited to cook out on the fire pit with Nana.  We roasted hot dogs and made s'mores.  I don't know what it is about a campfire...or in this case..backyard fire... that makes hot dogs taste so yummy...but the kids ate sooo well!  They just love a good fire and roasting session!

Makin' a Towel look Good

Well, we haven't had one yet...a kid who didn't like that bath..and we still don't!  Detric LOVES the water!  He splashes, plays, and enjoys that warm relaxation.  He only cries when we can't get him dressed fast enough and the cool air hits his moist skin...not so fun anymore!  But, as long as he is in that nice warm bath or snuggled up in his cozy towel - the kid is as smiley as ever!  What a handsome little man - he can even make a plain bath towel look good!

2 weeks and growing

Detric is already 2 weeks old!  And almost ready to welcome in the new year!  He is such a good little man...as long as mom doesn't each chocolate!  If the number of dirty diapers is any sign of how much he is growing....He is definitley growing exponentially!  I know new babies go through a lot of diapers, but this man goes through diapers!  Wow.  He is so alert and loves to watch all the action in our not so quiet house!  There is always someone to watch running past, someone to kiss you, someone to wake you up from your quiet slumber, someone to yell or squeal with delight that startles you...yep - being the 4th - Detric is definitely learning to sleep among the noise!

First Fire

We put Clay's new fire pit to good use!  We made dinner in the backyard...and the kids loved it!  Hot dogs and chips...yum yum!  We didn't have any marshmallows...next time!
