Preston lost his two front teeth within a week of each other. The first one was literally knocked out during a Football game! KaBAM tooth gone! He comes running over to Clay and Laura with a big smile on his face - points to his mouth and says...LOOK, I hit that guy so hard, my tooth got knocked out! What??? Clay and Laura both were stunned and shocked until Preston later disclosed that the tooth was already loose! Still - holy cow! The poor tooth fairy had a hard time finding Preston without the scent of the tooth to follow...it took her a few more days than normal to deliver payment, but she eventually showed up - she left a note explaining she had to search the football field until she found the tooth! The second tooth was there one day and then gone the next! Looks like Preston is going to be singing a new song for Christmas this year! "All I want for Christmas is my two front Teeth..."
Hey Everyone, we're doing well & keeping busy with flying, family, and school, but mainly just trying to keep up with CJ, Preston, Aparri, Detric & Erica. We hope that you're doing well and that you'll drop us a line and let us know how you're doing. [Clay, Laura, CJ, Preston, Aparri, Detric & Erica]

The Bread Experiment
For the school science fair, CJ - decided to test which type of condition grow mold the fastest! He started out by making his homemade white bread, then, he took 3 slices - left one alone, toasted another, and spritzed the third with water. CJ then sealed up the specimens then waited, watched, and saw the mold grow! CJ did a great job on the whole experiment. He even got an award - The most Creative Experiment - Good job CJ!
What does the fox say?
Preston is quite the FOXY man! Haha.... he loves the "What does the fox say?" video. He watches it over and over again! So when it came time to picking out Halloween costumes - a Fox was definitely Preston's top choice! We got him all dressed up and while taking pictures outside - Laura decided to turn on the song and see what happened....Oh boy. It was an epic event! Luckily, Laura got it all on video! No outtakes, no editing, just straight pure enjoyment from the Preston man himself. If you haven't seen the video - you should check it out on Laura's facebook page! We will be saving that video for life - and playing it at his wedding someday! This little man has got some crazy moves! We have no doubts that he is going to make it BIG someday!
Preston's PacMan and CJ's minecraft pumpkin
PacMan and Minecraft are popular things with the Ward Boys. So, of course, the pumpkins had to reflect their favorite things! However, Clay felt that the Pacman pumpkin wasn't complete without a ghost! Happy Halloween!
Halloween Disguise Fashion Show
Aparri, the cutest Witch there was!
Preston, Our expert Fox with all the right moves!
CJ, the stealth Ninja!
Detric, the friendly Ghost
(the only costume we could get him to keep on without screaming!)
We had a HUGE crew that traveled together to go trick or treating this year....this is only a handful of the entire group!! It was so fun, but a little crazy. We were quite the herd walking down the streets! Watch out here we come! After we got our fill of trick or treating we headed over to our friends house the Chappells where we had donuts and hot chocolate! The perfect ending to a great night!
Clayboy has it Mastered
A Big HUGE congratulations goes to Clay! This October, he received a very important piece of mail! A certificate that he has been working very hard earning.....his Masters Degree Diploma! We are all excited that Clay won't have to be working on school work - hip hip hooray. It is a huge accomplishment and as his family, we couldn't be more proud of Clay for his hard work....good job Daddy, Sweetheart, & Masters Student! It was a hard long road - but we did it! (Yes, "We" did it. Clay did all the hard school work - but the "we" behind the scenes all helped too in our own different ways - ....so today is a day for the whole family to celebrate!) DAD IS DONE WITH HIS MASTERS DEGREE!!!!!! We can't say it enough with smiles on our faces. Now, on to all those "Honey Do" lists that Laura has been piling up - just waiting for this moment! ** The drawing below was done by our very own Preston John.**

Just Desserts
Balloons and rain just don't mix. We tried to go to the evening glow display of the hot air balloons, but it got rained out 3 nights in a row - so we did the only rightful thing to do.... go shopping at goodwill, get desserts from olive garden (for the adults..pumpkin cheesecake for the ladies and chocolate mousse and chocolate stratus cake for the boys) and baskin robbins ice cream cake for the kids. Do we don't let a little rain ruin our night....heck no! We improvise! We stayed up late playing games, being silly, eating yummy desserts and staying as dry as possible! The Nielsen Family was great company as we laughed, played and ran in the rain! Always and adventure!
As we traveled home, we decided to have a fun picnic....well, this time the WIND and RAIN caught us, but that didn't stop us! The Nielsens quickly created a cooking space in their car and whipped up some tasty PB and Honey sandwiches in their van; while the kids started eating in the Ward car. Within minutes of everyone starting to eat, we had a small break in the weather, so we took the picnic outside into a small clearing where the trees made a good wind barrier...but again that was a small break and we eventually had to RUN for it back to the cars as everyone got drenched! Luckily everyone was laughing in the end...what a sight we must have been! Memories!
