National Guitar Day
When Laura heard it was National Guitar Day AND a great guitar player was giving a concert in Clovis that night - Laura knew that Preston would love it! So...she ran it by Clayboy and he said that it sounded like a great Mom and Son date that Preston would love. So Laura looked up tickets and saw that they were going to be about $45. Before purchasing the tickets, Laura decided to do her morning walk and try and find a babysitter for the night (since Clay had a meeting and also wouldn't be home). Well, right after Laura finished her walk - she was in the kitchen and the local radio said, "If you want to win tickets to the Jesse Cook guitar concert tonight....be caller 5 now" So, Laura was like...hey, I'm going to call....and wouldn't you know it - Luck was on her side and SHE WON THE TICKETS!!! She was caller 5!!! Laura couldn't believe it!!! So super excited!!! So, on February 11, Laura had a nice date night with Preston at a FREE Jesse Cook guitar concert. It was so entertaining. Both Laura and Preston had a wonderful time!!! Thanks MIX 107.5 for making our day!!! WHOO HOO!!! Happy Guitar Day everyone!~

Belly Button Scope
We are now 38 weeks and counting down the days until we meet our new little girl! We are all super excited to meet Baby Erica! The other Day, Detric insisted he look at Laura's belly. He lifted her shirt and then he proceeded to look into her belly button and tell Laura what he saw! "I see Baby Erica and she has green eyes!!" Detric claims he can see Baby Erica through Laura's belly button! It was so sweet. I think he is super excited for his new little sister! He also told Laura he was going to cut out baby Erica and then Glue her belly back together for her! I think we will keep all sharp objects away from Detric for a while! The next day, he had a better idea and asked if Laura's belly was going to "pop" and Erica will just come out.... oh boy!!!

Rocket Boy and Butterfly Girl
For his last Arrow of Light requirement, CJ needed to build and shoot off a rocket! So... here we go! Clay was the mastermind behind it all and Laura was the crafter builder who helped! Together CJ and Aparri made 2 awesome rockets! CJ's black chicken bullet and Aparri's butterFLY rocket. Saturday morning before basketball games we headed over to an open field and let her fly! They were very entertaining and fun to watch and they whooshed and swirled and crash landed! Detric and Preston were the designated cheerleaders! After the shooting, CJ loved it so much he said, "I am going to build tons more rockets and shoot them off!!!" I think we have more rocket shooting mornings in our future!
CJ #23
This is CJ's second year playing basketball and he is enjoying it! He has improved a lot from last year and is enjoying his team mates and getting involved in the plays! It is fun to see CJ run down the court! GO CJ!!!
Preston #13
Preston is playing basketball for the first time and I
think he likes it!!! He is a great
defender! His feet never stop moving
during the game! He is a quick footed,
fast runner, awesome basketball playing kid!
It sure is fun to watch him play!
Wolfs and Weblos
Preston and CJ were both awarded big things at January's pack meeting!!! Preston earned his wolf badge and CJ earned his Weblo. We are super proud of our boys and all their hard work!!!
Preston gets Braces!!
We went in for a consultation on Monday and
went back in on Tuesday and got braces!!! We have officially begun orthodonics
in the Ward house!!! Preston is super
excited and so are we! He is going to
have an amazing smile!!! The first
phase is 1 year and Preston is already
counting down the days!!! He is finding
out daily that braces aren't as fun as he originally thought.....no gum, no fruit roll
ups, and it hurts! But he is a champ and
doing awesome!
